  • Well, things do not always work out the way we plan, and sleeping in Nebraska isn't too much fun when you are stranded along I-80, mile marker 149 and it's Midnight and you have no lights, no horn, no heat.  Only a little red light to save me in the night.  I called him Blinky.  Thank GOD I added towing service to my progressive.com insurance.  $750 to tow Shelia from Strandedville to Greely, CO.....and the man that towed me was from Kansas.

Altenator!  $350.00ish to fix and we're off!

Colorado!  Wonderful.  Warm.  The start of Cell Phone Hell.

No Worries, just enjoy.  PUP loves Colorado and remains on HIGH ALERT for most of this jaunt.

ELK IN THE ROAD in Estes Park!

I think now it's Tuesday, and it is Boulder, CO.  Perhaps it's Wednesday, and I really haven't a clue what time it is either.  Still in Cell Phone Hell traveling to Denver to get it fixed.  Oh yeah, my laptop battery doesn't work either, but Colorado does so I let it BE.  Denver is hot today, it's nice.

I slept atop a snow covered mountain in the Uncompahgre Plateau.  It was chilly up there, but it's beautiful down the old gravel roads where few bother to go.  The highways show scars and digging and more houses going up.  Digging....ugh!

I think it's Thursday when I am in Utah, playing twister at the 4 Corners.

Then I ventured into Arizona across the Navajo Nation Indian Reservation.  There were several dust storms along the way and lots of broken beer bottles along the road.  Some of Monument Valley was visible from the highway, I didn't bother to venture there, the weather was not very nice for venturing.

FLAGSTAFF!  The home of a billion and one cheapy hotels.  Lots of things to do and see within a short distance of Flagstaff and my cell phone hell has been fixed.  But my cheapy room has a two prong outlet and my laptop does not so......another day, another walmart dollar and I am set.

I have been to the Petrified Forest, Walnut Canyon, Sedona, Sunset Crater, and a few mystery places in between.  Tomorrow I think it's going to be the Grand Canyon, or maybe Sedona, or maybe I'll just nap.  It's tough not having much much of a clue, what's A Girl to do?

    RIDE A BIG BUNNY BABY!

    Until Next time.......BE WELL.

  • What a great adventure. Bummer about the car. Great about the insurance. Nothing's perfect. Everything's perfect. See you soon.

  • Looks like you are on a great adventure -
I saw your bike in the photo of your dog in the car, where are you going to ride?
You seem to shrug things off quickly - the car problems, etc. it is good to see someone with a good attitude for a change!
    Enjoy your time!
