  • A few pics of my favorite birds staying here at LOVELAND.

    Rose Breasted Grosebeak

We have had these beauties visit before but they have never stayed.  This year at least one pair has built a nest and is enjoying the sunflower seeds and suet I keep them supplied with.

    Indigo Bunting

This beauty is truly a marvel.  From what I have read of these birds they do not have any blue hues in their genetic make-up, but rather the sun makes them blue. I find it hard to believe they have no blue as they are the bluest bird I have ever seen.

    Eastern Blue Bird

Mr. Bluebird is a happy guy and always a welcome sight.  We have purchased and made several nesting boxes in an attempt to lure bluebirds here.  This year we managed to attract a nesting pair.  WOO HOO!  Next year more bluebird houses are going up!

    Baltimore Oriole

These colorful birds are quite a delight and are often seen darting from the seed feeders, to the humming bird feeders, then onto a little suet.  Then they top it off with a visit to the orange slices I leave in the trees.  Quite a balanced diet I'd say.

  • Those are pretty birds. They must be lucky to  live on your property. I"m sure you'll have hundreds when word gets around how great it is to live there!

  • wow. you guys have some beautiful birds over there, keep on feeding them and the numbers WILL increase. I really miss my birds at my old place, I had fed them for ten years, and they brought their babies evey year. The numbers definitely increased greatly. I miss them.

  • Those are gorgeous pictures!  =)  Your place sounds just beautiful.
